After years of anticipation, the phenomenon that is The Avengers did not fail to deliver. It packed a geek-coma inducing punch that I am still suffering from. It was one of the greatest movies I have ever seen and will remain a classic for years to come.
Marvel's entire film layout is one of the greatest cinematic achievements of all time and their first culmination is absolutely flawless. The entire cast has great chemistry together, which is amazing considering they all lead their own separate Marvel franchises. Also, I'm so glad Marvel finally perfected the Hulk. Mark Ruffalo is the best we've had yet and I hope he stays for a long time. Tom Hiddleston finally got to let his villain chops loose with his excellent performance as Loki. He was a fantastic villain for the Avengers to fight in their first outing and while I doubt Marvel can top this one, I cannot wait to see them try. |
After four years of buildup, hype, and anticipation, the event that was Marvel's The Avengers ended up delivering on all fronts. Marvel executed their plan successfully with one of the best superhero films to date. It was a rousing good time that gave us the Earth's Mightiest Heroes on the big screen for the first time and set up one of the most exciting storylines to come.
The chemistry amongst the cast is unbelievably strong. For a group of actors that have all lead their own previous Marvel films, you would have thought they worked together for years. Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans had a great rapport as two men with opposing ideas on how to get things done. The seeds for the epic Civil War event are already being planted. It also appears that Marvel has finally found the perfect actor to play Bruce Banner/Hulk in Mark Ruffalo. He quickly proves to be the best person to play this iconic character, portraying a nice guy who is desperately trying to keep the inner beast controlled. Tom Hiddleston really stepped into his own more as Loki, providing a great villain for the Avengers to fight. Marvel worked hard for this moment and, luckily, it payed off big time. Just seeing the Avengers assemble together at the end of the film is one of the most geek worthy moments in movie history. The Avengers still stands as one of the best superhero films ever made and features a post credits scene that will knock your socks off. |
