This movie was awesome. I've always loved Thor and this film totally lived up to my expectations. Marvel has taken one of their most outrageous and fantastical comics and seamlessly blended it into a world featuring Iron Man and Captain America.

Chris Hemsworth is perfectly cast as Thor, the god of thunder. He wonderfully captures Thor's arrogance that grows into compassion throughout the film. I was really surprised at Tom Hiddleston, who played the villainous Loki. He flawlessly portrays the god of mischief and evil and gives him a likability that all the other Marvel villains are missing.

The film is so fantastic and out-there, but it manages to remain grounded in reality. It's yet another win for Marvel and just makes me more excited for future films.

Marvel continues to set the bar and ends up blowing expectations for Thor out of the water. Who would have thought that a movie about a Norse god who is banished to Earth could be so enjoyable? What could have been their most outrageous, over-the-top film ends being one of their best yet. A believable character that sits perfectly in a world with the likes of Iron Man, Hulk, and Captain America.

Chris Hemsworth is the perfect choice as the god of thunder, Thor. He captures the arrogance and, later, compassion of the comic's character. He also brings quite a bit of the physicality too. The real standout, though, is Tom Hiddleston as Thor's brother, Loki. He is perfect as the god of mischief and still stands as one of Marvel's best villains. He dominates every scene he's in and I look forward to any time he appears in this series.

Thor is a great, fantastical movie that started the groundwork for introducing the more fantasy based characters in Marvel's comics. The only real negative I have with this movie is Natalie Portman, who has zero chemistry with Chris Hemsworth. Besides that, Marvel has another winner in their hands.
