Twin Peaks is one of my very favorite television shows of all time for countless reasons. I also like the film, Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me from 1992 so I knew I would have to check out Missing Pieces at some point. It’s literally a collection of deleted scenes from Fire Walk With Me edited by Lynch to form an hour and a half long film that is honestly essential if you are a fan of any part of Twin Peaks.

Laura Palmer is the main character as we see even more mysteries unfold during the last seven days of her life. It moves with the same kind of wild pace that most Lynch films have. We get plenty of Black Lodge/Red Room action. We see scenes of Agent Cooper with a very whacked out Agent Phillip Jeffries. We see the sheriff of Deer Meadow fight Agent Chet Desmond. We see more of Bobby Briggs and Laura’s wild cocaine addiction. We get a few glimpses of the Double R Diner. Major Briggs reads from the book of Revelation and the log lady clenches her log. Typical Twin Peaks shit.

Again, if you like Lynch’s style and what Twin Peaks is as a show then I highly suggest watching The Missing Pieces. If you haven’t watched Twin Peaks then don’t even bother because you won’t have any clue what’s happening in The Missing Pieces. It’s already a mind-bending and purposefully strange world when you have seen every bit of content that Twin Peaks has to offer.
