I completely feel that Toy Story 2 lived up to the first one. The plot deals with very grown up subjects like mortality and self-worth, making this film a very poignant entry in Pixar's catalog. It's not as great as the first installment, but is still one of the best animated sequels. Unfortunately this is the weakest entry, but compared to the awesomeness of 1 and 3, calling this one weak doesn't make it a bad film. Quite the contrary. I love this one too.

A film that does what is rarely seen in movies, completely outshines the original. It features more fun, more humor, and even more themes that appeal to kids and adults. The film also brings back the original characters with the introduction of memorable new ones like Jessie and Stinky Pete. The voice cast, old and new alike, are once again great in their roles. An excellent film that is even better than the original. A classic sequel to a classic film.
