Saw V began the Hoffman era of the Saw franchise, showing us the aftermath of Jigsaw's brutal demise and how far his apprentice is willing to go to avoid persecution. The game intensifies as Hoffman goes further and further towards the darkness, willing to frame an FBI agent for his crimes.

The coolest part of this entry is the backstory we get into Hoffman's character. We get to see how he came under Jigsaw's wing after being in a sort-of game himself. This film may not be the best of the franchise, but it is hardly the worst and remains as entertaining as the rest.
