Quantum of Solace was a dull follow-up to Craig's first outing. Compared to his other two, this film was easily the weakest link in an otherwise strong chain of films. The villain, Dominic Greene, was forgettable and almost seemed like a parody of the classic villains.
I will say, however, that the epic opening theme by Jack White and Alicia Keys was one of the best of the entire franchise, and it set up what I expected to be a fantastic film. With the villain's disappointing plot and the uneven story, this film is quite disappointing. |
While this particular Bond film is my least favorite of the Daniel Craig ones, I still found it to be a good time and quite enjoyable. Daniel Craig proves once again that he was born to play James Bond. He not only seems to completely fall into the character, he also seems to add a slightly darker element to it since he is on a revenge quest.
Dominic Greene was definitely one of the weaker villains in the franchise. He wasn't at all intimidating and his ultimate plan was extremely forgettable. The opening song was great in this one, like it was in the first one. Even though I consider this the weak link for Daniel Craig's Bond films, I still found a lot to like about it and had a good time. |
