I was pleasantly surprised at the last Night at the Museum film. It had taken so long for this film to be released that I anticipated a disappointing hodgepodge. What I got was a delightful sendoff for a franchise that was remarkably enjoyable.

The character of Lancelot is introduced in this one, played hilariously by Dan Stevens. Lancelot is the villain this time around, being a clueless knight who thinks he's still on the quest for the Holy Grail. Stevens is hilarious, but it's Ben Stiller who steals the show in a secondary role as the neanderthal Laaa. It's some of the best acting Stiller's done in years.

Secret of the Tomb was also Robin Williams's last film, and his role as Teddy Roosevelt is what most young children nowadays remember him by. The finale of this film feels like a sendoff for Robin and it made me cry. The last Night at the Museum film is a fitting final ride for Robin Williams as it caps off the franchise nicely and allows us to say goodbye to a man who touched all of our hearts.
