I was seriously impressed with this film, both as a sequel and a triumph of modern film-making. Andy Serkis has proved yet again that he is the king of motion capture. once again portraying the ape leader Caesar with incredible skill and gusto. The ape side of the story completely overtakes the human aspect, making the viewer sympathize with the apes and even root for them in the battle. This franchise seems to only get better with each film. This one is no exception.

I was absolutely blown away by this movie. It was both an entertaining summer blockbuster film and an incredibly smart film that challenges the audience. The ape story was extremely well done and had me invested from beginning to end. Andy Serkis delivered a powerhouse performance as the ape leader, Caesar. What he achieved through the use of motion capture and WETA technology is nothing short of incredible. The same goes for the rest of the apes, with all of them looking stunning.

The only weak aspect is the human story, which was lacking coma red to the ape's. This is an exceptional franchise that seems to get better and I can't wait for the next installment already.
