I've always thought The Spy Who Shagged Me is just as good as the first movie. The humor hasn't lost its touch and there are plenty of hilarious sight gags. Mike Myers continues to power the art of playing multiple characters, this time introducing a third role for him to play. The film also saw some solid new additions to the cast that didn't miss a beat with any of the returning characters.

The plot not only continues to do a great job of making fun of the James Bond franchise, but cleverly pokes fun of time travel as well. It was consistently hilarious to see the characters joke about the nature of time travel and the inconsistencies associated with it. Once again, the characters are just as funny as the plot itself. Mike Myers continues to excel as both Austin Powers and Dr. Evil. The latter of whom seems to be even funnier than the last time. Seth Green also returns as his son Scott Evil, once again doing a great job with Myers. As for the new characters, Verne Troyer is the standout as Mini-Me. He is downright hysterical and plays great off of Mike Myers. Rob Lowe all does a great job playing a younger Number 2.

Austin Powers is still, in my opinion, one of Mike Myers better movies. This second installment proves to be just as funny as the first, with the returning cast meshing well with the new ones. The jokes have never been funnier, showing there is still life left in this comedy franchise.
