Zombieland was America's answer to Shaun of the Dead. It is a highly entertaining, well-acted bloodbath that teaches us all how to survive in the impending zombie apocalypse. Very few movies are able to make the end of the world so hilarious, but this one pulls it off with gusto by utilizing its talented cast and creating memorable one-liners.

Woody Harrelson plays gun-toting borderline psycho Tallahassee, who is on a desperate hunt for a Twinkie. Accompanying him is shy teenage nerd Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg), who has managed to survive in this new dead world with his list of rules. Columbus's rules for surviving Zombieland are actually a solid survival list and provide a nice running joke throughout the movie. Along the way, they encounter con artist sisters Wichita (Emma Stone) and Little Rock (Abigail Breslin), who initially steal all of their crap but they end up bonding with anyway. These four have terrific chemistry and help make this film a solid horror-comedy.

With a ton of priceless scenes, including an extended cameo from Bill Murray, Zombieland has become a staple of any horror fan's collection and is one of the best things to come out of the late 2000's zombie craze. It's a breath of fresh air for the zombie formula, taking elements of Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, and many others to create a hysterical homage that I hold up alongside the greats.
