This film was a far cry from a comedy, but still a good movie. Robin Williams was great as Lance Clayton, a father with a douche bag for a son who only wants to be recognized for his writing. Daryl Sabara also delivered a fine performance as his son Kyle, who was the most hateful little s**t this side of King Joffrey.
What made this movie so poignant was the fact that it urges you to get help if you're depressed or contemplating suicide. And after Robin Williams's unfortunate suicide, this film becomes something else entirely. It's hard to watch without associating that horrible event with the film itself, but overall I did enjoy it. |
