1971's Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is a timeless classic and one of my personal favorites. It speaks to the child in all of us, reminding numerous generations how wonderful and magical our youths were. Gene Wilder is the definitive Willy Wonka (Yes, I'm talking to you, Johnny Depp) and delivers a wonderful performance that I think he never topped.

The candy, the music, the set design, the costumes, everything in this film is iconic and will bring a smile to your face. To anybody who hasn't seen it, I implore you to watch it. It's time you see what you've been missing.

Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory is not just one of the best family films, but one of the best films of all time. The story is magically wonderful, the characters iconic, and the score is just amazing. A film that will be watched by everyone for generations to come.

While the core kids are are brought to wonderful life from the book, the standout here is Gene Wilder's portrayal of the man himself, Willy Wonka. He brings his charisma and gravitas to the the role, creating the definitive version of a beloved character. The production design is top notch, with Wonka's factory looking completely out of this world. It's a place I would love to visit someday. The music is very catchy, with songs that will stay with you for years to come.

This review can't cover enough how wonderful this film truly is. It brings out the inner child in you and is excellent for the whole family. if you have yet to see this movie, you need to watch it as soon as possible. You won't regret it.
