Being a big fan of Sean Connery's era of 007, I was actually quite bored during this film. The plot is quite dull and the characters pale in comparison to the previous entries and further installments. It was cool, however, to finally get a glimpse into the inner workings of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. The climactic fight at the end that takes place almost entirely underwater had me less than engaged. But don't judge the Bond franchise on this film alone. It does get better.

I have to admit that this is probably my least favorite of the Sean Connery era of James Bond films. The plot is a little on the dull side and probably the least engaging of Connery's. I did enjoy getting to see some more of S.P.E.C.T.R.E. and how they work.
I also personally found the underwater fight scene to be ridiculously awesome. I also enjoyed how sharks seemed to totally avoid James Bond, especially when he decides to have sex underwater in the ocean. While this is not Sean Connery's best outing, it still had some redeeming qualities. |
