The Raid: Redemption is a balls-out unbelievably violent action romp that is one of the most testosterone fueled films I've seen in a long time. It's like the movie that action fans dream about.

With such a simple plot and brilliant set-up, it's easy to see why this has achieved cult status so quickly. The film contains enough story to not be too ridiculous and has quite decent performances throughout. What really makes this film stand out is its brilliant choreography. The fight scenes in The Raid are some of the best since Enter the Dragon and I was utterly blown away by the final fight scene between Rama, Andi, and Mad Dog.

On the whole, The Raid is one of the most thrilling and unfiltered action flicks in a long time and will keep any action fan on the edge of their seat. Indonesia clearly knows what they're doing and I really hope they focus all of their skill on making more amazing films like this.

The Raid was one of the best, and fun, action films I've had the chance to see. It is pure unadulterated, balls to the wall, adrenaline filled action that doesn't let up for a single minute. Action junkies will be more than pleased.

The plot is simple and does an excellent job of giving the audience what they want. The performances are good throughout, with some actors really making their characters stand out. Two good examples are the crime lord, Tama, and his loyal soldier, Mad Dog. Tama is absolutely ruthless, becoming an unforgettable villain. Mad Dog is a superb fighter, bringing out some of the film's best action scenes. Speaking of which, the film features some of the most amazing action scenes I've witnessed in a film. The martial arts fighting looks stunning and never gets old.

Action fans, or anyone looking for a fun film to watch, will find a lot to love about this film. A simple plot, interesting characters, and some of the best fight scenes in cinema history come together to create of the best action films ever made. Sit back, turn your brain off, and enjoy the ride.
