Gustave, who is one of the most likable and hilarious fictional characters of the past decade.
With special appearances from big name stars like Bill Murray and Owen Wilson, this film is a wonderfully amusing and heartwarming story that contains more than a few laugh-out-loud moments. |
This was a great introduction to the world of director Wes Anderson. It was quirky, funny, and full of memorable characters. I can't wait to see the rest of Anderson's films.
Ralph Fiennes is the standout as M. Gustave, the concierge of the hotel who gets caught up in a conspiracy. He's hilarious and tons of fun to watch throughout the movie. The rest of the cast also follows suit with outstanding performances and some really funny moments of their own. The style of Wes Anderson is very neat. Everything from the set design, camera movement, and line delivery was done in a way that is both odd and fascinating. The Grand Budapest Hotel is an excellent film full of great characters wrapped in an intriguing story. It's also laugh out loud funny. Wes Anderson fans will be quite happy with his newest film. As for people like me, this is a great introduction. |
