I thought The Core was a really cool and interesting disaster movie, despite the lack of interest it generated back in 2003. It has an original concept that is executed in an exciting way, plus it has a solid cast of character actors. I really don't understand why everybody hated this movie.

The whole idea of the Earth turning against us is highly intriguing and the science behind it that is introduced in The Core seems realistic. I consider it to be arguably the best disaster porn movie of the 2000's.
