6/10
This sequel is easily the worst Spider-Man movie thus far. It was slightly more exciting at times, with so much happening amidst an incoherent story that's overshadowed by the action. Electro was disappointing and weird, as was the Green Goblin. Another major issue was that the film did spend more time on setting up future movies than on the movie itself. Because of that, the ending was severely rushed.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 suffers from a mediocre script and fails to inspire audiences like the original series by Sam Raimi did. While Andrew Garfield continues to give it his all, I simply do not think his films measure up to what came before or after. I'm not sure what's missing from this franchise, but something definitely is.

6/10
A sequel that, while only being slightly better than the first one, is still a heck of a good time. The movie may have had a lot going on, but it still managed to tell everything it needed to while keeping a coherent story. Both Jamie Fox and Dane DeHaan were excellent in the roles of Electro and Green Goblin, respectively. Andrew Garfield once again shined as Spider-Man, really proving how right he is for the role.

My main gripe with the film, though, is that they seemed to spend a lot of time setting up future movies and less time on the current movie. In the end, this was an enjoyable movie that I'm sure fans will like.
