I did not expect much when I walked into the theater to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Imagine my surprise when I learned that this movie was actually very entertaining and kept my interest throughout. Say what you want about Michael Bay, but the man knows his way around a summer blockbuster. The spirit of the Turtles, as well as Splinter, April O'Neil, and Shredder, is kept very much alive and helps give us the TMNT movie of this generation.

As someone who grew up on the original two films from the 90's, this was a very unexpected surprise. This was a very entertaining movie that stayed true to what makes the Ninja Turtles awesome and changing some things up for this current movie. The Turtles looked awesome and were played impressively by their voice cast. Johnny Knoxville really impressed me as the leader, Leonardo.
The Turtles were also able to kick some serious butt. Megan Fox really surprised me as April O'Neil. She gave a great performance and I can't wait to see more of her in future installments. Shredder looked absolutely awesome and he was a great villain. Will Arnett was hilarious in his role. Splinter was also really well done. I absolutely loved this movie. It was highly entertaining and made me feel like a child again. Cowabunga! |
