Ted was a perfect debut for Seth MacFarlane's film career and only gets funnier after each viewing. The film is actually heartwarming and has a very positive message, while simultaneously being funny as hell. MacFarlane shines as the eponymous Ted, sporting a Peter Griffin voice and a crude personality. Mark Wahlberg was fun to watch as John Bennett, Ted's best friend who still acts like a child.

Ted also features several Family Guy-style cutaway gags that seem to be Seth MacFarlane's calling card. Overall, this film feels like a live-action episode of Family Guy that will keep you laughing from beginning to end. Thunder Buddies for life!

MacFarlane's first outing as a feature film director was a major hit. He made a movie that is just as hilarious as his animated shows and full of heart. While the plot sounds insanely ridiculous, MacFarlane finds a way to make it work. The film is full of quotable lines and and funny jokes. It also features several great jokes at pop culture icons. Seth MacFarlane does a great job at bringing the character of Ted to life, successfully making a teddy bear the star of the show.

Mark Wahlberg was also hilarious as John Bennett, Ted's best friend who may make a lot of mistakes, but has a good heart. Mila Kunis is also great as John's girlfriend. The rest of the cast also does a great job and have tons of funny moments. The film also told a great theme of friendship and what it means to certain people. This was a hilarious first movie effort from Seth MacFarlane.  Honestly, I can't wait for the sequel.
