I wasn't that crazy about Star Trek until I saw this movie. Every moment of it is action-packed and incredibly visual. I never tire of watching it. Everybody is perfectly cast and it does great justice to the original series.
The standout amongst the rebooted cast is definitely Zachary Quinto as Spock. He perfectly replicates the near-emotionless delivery of Leonard Nimoy in the original Star Trek and delivers nearly every line with a sort of intelligent sarcasm. It's perfect. I also really liked Eric Bana as the villainous Romulan called Nero. He was a fantastic villain for the first adventure. Star Trek is an enjoyable, exciting, and entertaining thrill ride that will only get better with each viewing. It's safe to say that J.J. Abrams has revitalized Star Trek for the better. |
