Sin City was a really cool, incredibly filmed journey into the minds of killers and thieves. Props to Rodriguez and Miller for the amazing cinematography in this film. There's nothing else like it out there. All of the characters were believable and entertaining to watch, especially Mickey Rourke's badass portrayal of Marv. Sin City shows you what a crime movie can do, then shoots it in the leg, kicks it in the balls, and shows you what a crime movie should do. This movie is nothing short of awesome.

Sin City is definitely one of the cooler, and most stylized, films I've seen centering around thieves, criminals, and killers. The film proved to be a hit among adult audiences looking for a more mature side to the increasing comic-book movie adaptations that was booming. Unlike the superhero films being released at the time, the film was filled with morally ambiguous characters who were still insanely entertaining to watch.

Speaking of characters, the real standout was Mickey Rourke's portrayal of Marv. He was a brute with a heart of gold and a complete badass. He was not someone I would want to wrong in anyway. Clive Owen also standouts as Dwight, a person just trying to do the right thing. Bruce Willis is also a welcome addition as Hartigan, a cop who is only trying to protect a little girl. The rest of the cast is universally excellent as well, all of them creating believable, flawed characters.

The cinematography is one of the best I've seen in film. It really captures the noir look with its black and white cinematography, voice overs, and dialogue. I have to agree, there is nothing else like it out there. Sin City is a stylized look at a city full of criminals that is also a blast to watch.
