I am definitely a fan of Martin McDonagh's work and I hope he continues to make hilariously original films like Seven Psychopaths. It's one of the strangest films I've ever seen, but arguably one of the funniest.
I love that we get to hear Colin Farrell's natural Irish accent and he shines among brilliant character actors like Sam Rockwell, Christopher Walken, and Woody Harrelson. The whole cast is brilliant and the idea that the entire film revolves around Farrell's character's screenplay is quite entertaining. Much like McDonagh's previous film In Bruges, Seven Psychopaths takes predictable formulas and twists them around to create a brilliant and unpredictable film. There's no doubt that he will be recognized for his genius style. |
