I will never look at a hot dog the same way again. Sausage Party effectively pushes a surprisingly thought-provoking agenda while simultaneously ruining every single food in the world by showing them participating in a climactic food orgy. That's right, that's not a typo. I wrote food orgy. This is a film that I was certain would be 2016's biggest disaster. Who would want to see an R-rated animated food comedy thought up by Seth Rogen during a seriously brain-cell depleting bake sesh? Not only is Sausage Party laugh-out-loud hilarious, but it also makes you think about the nature of your own existence and what it means to have faith.

Sausage Party also sports a star-studded cast of comedians, all of whom deliver fantastic voice performances. All of the characters are funny as hell, except for Nick Kroll's living Douche. He was just incredibly frightening. The film feels like a Rogen/Franco stoner comedy, but it looks like a Pixar movie. Whoever thought up this combo was a genius. This film will no doubt open up the floodgates for legitimate R-rated animations, which is going to make the next few years really difficult for parents trying to take their kids to cartoon movies.

Be warned, Sausage Party is not for the faint of heart. It's a balls to the wall, no holds barred, comedy extravaganza with a ton of sex, drugs, and super offensive jokes. Basically, take your best friend, not your grandma. It's made for the Apatow crowd, not for casual moviegoers. If that's your cup of tea, then you will love this film. If not, you may end up mentally scarred and unable to eat pretty much anything ever again.
