While not as clever as some of Mel Brooks's earlier work, Men in Tights is still quite funny, complete with a cast that nails every punchline. Cary Elwes is a great Robin Hood and constantly pokes fun at Kevin Costner's portrayal of the character in 1991's Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. The story is pretty much identical, but with little things changed for comic relief. This film is one of the last great slapstick movies before the genre began to die out in the late 90's. For that, it will always be appreciated.
