This Thai martial arts flick was a badass film. Some of the moves that Tony Jaa could do were incredible. Combine that with an emotional story and you have an excellent film.
I feel like Tony Jaa could have been the next Bruce Lee if he hadn't dropped off the map in the mid-2000's. The guy has some unbelievable skill and Ong-Bak is the perfect vehicle to showcase him. The fight scenes in the underground fight club were amazingly choreographed and highly exciting. I urge kung fu fans to check this one out. |
Foreign countries really know how to make some badass action films. Even though this film does fall trap to some dated effects, it is still an incredible amount of fun. Add to that the insane fight choreography and decent story, you got yourself one fun movie.
Tony Jaa was great in this movie. He gave us both a believable character and some amazing action scenes. The fight scenes, especially in the underground fight club, were absolutely amazing and well choreographed. This is a fun movie full of some awesome kung fu fighting.
