This Bond film is so outrageous that it's hard not to love it. The characters are so stupid and the plot is ridiculous, but it's James Bond in space. How can you not like that? The villain, Hugo Drax, is much more interesting than the previous villain, plus it was exciting to see Jaws again. Basically, the sheer ridiculousness of this film brings it into the realm of "so bad, it's good."

While this isn't one of my more favorite James Bond films, the sheer ridiculousness of it makes it actually decently enjoyable. The plot is quite out there and full of some really crazy moments. In one movie, I got to see a gondola race across the streets and a laser fight in space. And this is a James Bond film!
The villain is a step up from the previous one and is a lot more interesting. It was also good to see Jaws return from the last one. A decent movie that is more enjoyable for its sheer ridiculousness. |
