5/10
Maggie had so much potential. It could have been the zombie movie of the decade. Instead, it falls short and fails to keep audiences interested. Even the combined star power of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abigail Breslin couldn't save this film.

I really wanted to like it too. We never get to see zombie films from the perspective of the bitten, to slowly see someone become the undead. If Maggie had focused more on story and less on establishing an atmosphere, this film could have been great. Unfortunately, the film ends up being really boring and fails in making me care for the characters. I know Arnold was really trying here, but he should stick to blowing crap up and leave the drama behind for good.

On the whole, I did not enjoy Maggie. Apart from a well-balanced performance from Abigail Breslin, the film did not keep my interest and ended up being a real missed opportunity. Hopefully, this premise can be done right in the near future.
