8/10
I felt that How to Train Your Dragon 2 completely surpassed the original in both plot and character development. The film is very exciting for adults and children alike. Djimon Hounsou's portrayal of the villain, Drago, was both very entertaining and mildly terrifying as he is constantly screaming. The film is also much more dramatic, dealing with themes like death and betrayal. I can't wait for the third one.

An animated sequel that surpasses the original in every conceivable way. The characters really progressed between the two films. The plot was also even more engaging. It also had a darker tone than the original, with the stakes being raised significantly. Drago, the film's villain, was suitably creepy and evil. The animation and cinematography were gorgeous, looking almost like a live action movie. An excellent sequel that has me anticipating the third one.
