8/10
This holiday staple is always a fun watch. While it isn't as good as the cartoon, it's still enjoyable. Jim Carrey gives a fabulous performance as the titular Grinch, a hateful creature who despises Christmas and wants to see it gone. The production design on this film is quite remarkable. They've successfully recreated the magic of Whoville.

There are a lot of funny moments in this movie. When I first saw it, I expected it to be a cheap cash grab for the holiday season. What I got was a charming and delightful family comedy that I continue to watch every Christmas.
