A solid little movie that not only gives fans an inside look into the troubled production of the classic movie Pyscho, but also explores the character of Hitchcock himself and his marriage to Alma Reville. Anthony Hopkins easily slips into the role of the famous director, both looking and sounding the part.
Helen Mirren is just as good as his wife, showing both the love she had for her husband and the, sometimes, annoyance of his many quirks. The rest of the cast also bring in solid efforts. The only complaint I have is that some of the Ed Gein subplot didn't quite work out. Fans of not only Psycho, but of Hitchcock himself also, will really enjoy this movie. |
