This movie kicked ass. Dwayne Johnson was the perfect person to play the demigod Hercules, and his enthusiasm in the role shows throughout the film. I was also pleasantly surprised at the supporting cast, all of whom I found extremely likable and entertaining.
The idea to show Hercules as just a man with awesome skill, and not the demigod his legend shows him as, was brilliant and it adds an air of realism to the film that makes it seem like more than just your average summer blockbuster.
