Her was a beautiful tale of love and the complications that follow. It speaks to the romantic in all of us and reminds us that there is somebody out there for everyone, even if that someone is a computer.
It was extremely well-acted, particularly Scarlett Johansson, who gave an incredible performance in a strictly voiced over role. I urge everyone to watch this, as it will make you smile and feel like you will someday find someone who loves you. |
A movie that tells a story beautifully while exploring the idea of people becoming addicted to their electronics. The film takes place in the future, which helps the idea of people falling in love with their electronics that more relevant with technology seemingly getting closer to that every day.
The film was full of great performances, with Joaquin Phoenix and Scarlett Johansson being the standouts. Phoenix perfectly portrays a lonely man falling in love with his computer. Johansson excels as the operating system, in a role that only requires her voice. This is an excellent film that tells a beautiful love story that everyone will love, while daring to ask some very mature questions along the way. |
