Ghost in the Shell was an extremely smart anime that asked some pretty deep questions about sexuality and identity, while still being a lot of fun. The story takes place in the future, with most human beings being replaced by cyborgs. This is both an interesting and terrifying take on the future, especially as the film progresses.
The voice actors are all really good in their respective roles. Both the actors for Motoko and Batou do a phenomenal job. They really bring the characters to life and sell their chemistry as partners. The rest of the cast also does a great job of bringing their characters to life. The film has a beautiful animation style that really draws you into the world. It also makes you ponder about what it means to be human and life in general. Ghost in the Shell was a great movie that should make fans of anime really happy. It was a fun time and asked a lot of big questions. Definitely a winner in my book. |
