This film was downright hilarious. I enjoyed every minute of it. From the awesome soundtrack to the entertaining performances, Get Him to the Greek is a definite hit.
At the heart of the film is the solid chemistry between Russell Brand and Jonah Hill, who seem to be having a genuinely good time while filming this movie. If it had just stayed with the self-destructive rock star angle, it would have been a forgettable comedy. What makes it so great is how the film explores the roots of Aldous Snow's addictive personality, giving the character substance and painting him as a more realistic person. Props to Russell Brand for relaying that effectively. I also enjoyed Diddy's appearance as Sergio, the record executive. Every bit of dialogue he had was hilarious, especially the entire Las Vegas scene which had me rolling on the floor. Overall, I absolutely loved Get Him to the Greek and think it is one of the best comedies of the decade so far. |
