This was an incredibly cheesy, and sometimes just not good film, that still managed to be decently entertaining and fun. The plot takes place in the future, which is enforced by the cheap special effects and sets. The acting for the most part is incredibly bad, with none of the actors bringing their characters to life really. The film makes up for these negatives by moving at a brisk pace and being incredibly violent at times.
The monster did actually look pretty cool and scary. It also features out of nowhere nudity and a sex scene that seemed like it was taken out of a porno. This was a fun, albeit flawed, little piece of entertainment from the B-movie king himself, Roger Corman. If you're fans of his work, then you will definitely enjoy this one. |
