I wasn't that impressed with the first Final Destination film. The murder scenes were inventive and the story was compelling, but in the end I think it was the characters that killed it for me. The group of survivors are not very likable and seem interchangeable, which are not good traits for interesting characters. I plan on viewing the rest of the films in hopes that they will get better, but in my opinion this series didn't start very strong.
