Ferris Bueller's Day Off is easily my favorite John Hughes movie of the 1980's. The entire cast is stellar, particularly Matthew Broderick in his most memorable role. The plot is so ridiculously simple and works better than you'd think. The scene where Bueller tricks Rooney with the phone call is one of my favorite comedy scenes ever. This film glamorizes skipping school, making it seem like playing hooky could be the best thing that ever happens to you. It's a definite hit.

This was a very funny movie that left me entertained throughout. The film was full of great moments that had me constantly laughing. The cast is great and helps sell the comedy even more with their performances. Matthew Broderick is great as the title character, easily portraying a guy that you wished was your friend. Jeffrey Jones was also great as the the Dean of Students, who makes it his mission to find Ferris Bueller. He had me laughing anytime he was onscreen. A very funny movie with likable characters and great comedy moments throughout. Plus, it makes skipping school seem like a lot of fun.
