Dead Silence is a criminally underrated horror film that finally delivers a creepy look at a gold mine that is rarely tapped in horror: Ventriloquist dummies. Billy the dummy is a creepy as hell monster that doesn't even have to do much to scare us. When the primary monster of your film barely has to move to send chills down the audience's spine, you are clearly doing something right. 

James Wan is the Hitchcock of this generation, and while Dead Silence may not have been on the same level as Saw or Insidious, it is still a creepy as hell movie with a terrific score and enjoyable performances.
