For a movie based on a board game, Clue was very entertaining. The cast plays off of each other perfectly and Tim Curry is hilarious as the terrified butler. The plot is well-written, but still stays true to the source material by utilizing the weapons, the rooms, and the idea of finding who killed Mr. Boddy, where they did it, and what they used. It's surprisingly difficult to make a coherent plot out of a board game (see Battleship for evidence), but Clue pulls it off nicely and has since become a cult hit.

What makes this film so enjoyable is the impeccable cast, led by the always entertaining Tim Curry. With its roster of 80's comedians like Michael McKean, Christopher Lloyd, and Madeline Kahn, it's obvious how this film has stood up over the years. The script is filled with witty dialogue and hilarious slapstick moments, with Tim Curry's proper butler Wadsworth usually at the center of it all. The third act, where Curry delivers a shockingly long explanation of who did it, still looks incredibly complicated, proving yet again that he is one of the most underrated actors in the business.

Clue has been one of my comedy favorites ever since I first saw it when I was a kid. It's lasted all this time because of its brilliant comedic timing and killer script, both of which are utilized by its talented cast. Hopefully, this film will continue to entertain comedy fans for years to come, because it totally has the staying power.

This is the movie that shows that a movie based off a board game can actually be quite entertaining. The cast are all great and absolutely hilarious. Tim Curry stands out the most, though, as the butler. He kept me laughing the whole way through the movie, especially the scene where he's running around the mansion as he goes over everything that happen.

The movie also does a great job of honoring the board game by including the characters, rooms, weapons, and how the murder is solved. This is a comedy that I highly enjoyed and will be remembered for years to come.
