Caddyshack is one of the funniest movies of all time and a personal favorite of mine. It's the movie that introduced the world to both Rodney Dangerfield and Bill Murray. You can't go wrong with it. Every second is comedy gold.
Caddyshack also features one of Chevy Chase's best roles, as the laid-back and likable golfer Ty Webb. TV actor Ted Knight shines among comedy greats as the stuck-up Judge Smails, who delivers some of the best moments in the film. Of course, Dangerfield's debut as Al Czervik is nothing short of hilarious while Murray's first memorable role as assistant greenskeeper Carl Spackler is equally brilliant, considering Murray improvised most of his dialogue. There really is nothing to hate and everything to like about this film. It's full of comedy icons and remains one of the funniest films ever made. Caddyshack is one of those films that everybody should check out at least once. I've loved it for years. |
