This movie was the best film about table tennis this side of Forrest Gump. It's considerably funnier than one would expect and most of that is owed to its hilarious cast and surprisingly good script.
Balls of Fury is led by an all-star cast of comedians like George Lopez and Thomas Lennon, as well as legendary character actor Christopher Walken. There is some lowbrow humor, but a good chunk of the jokes are genuinely funny. Besides, who can't appreciate a good dumb joke once in a while?
I happen to enjoy ping-pong and I wish more movies were made about it. Balls of Fury is a really funny movie that deserves more attention. I, for one, think it's one of the most underappreciated films of the 2000's.
