After having a really bad day, Alexander makes a birthday wish that
his family would know what it's like to have a day as bad as his.
Alexander and the
I was surprisingly impressed with this family film. It was laugh out loud hilarious and still retained the spirit of Judith Viorst's classic book that I used to read all the time when I was a child. Steve Carell and Jennifer Garner are excellent, giving the film a wonderfully comedic soul. The supporting cast was great as well, especially Ed Oxenbould who played Alexander. The cameo appearances from Dick Van Dyke and Jennifer Coolidge had me laughing harder than I've laughed in a while. Alexander is a hilarious film that the whole family can enjoy time and time again.
