Written by Michael Bacall, Oren Uziel, Rodney Rothman Starring Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Peter Stormare, Wyatt Russell, Amber Stevens, Jillian Bell Sequel to 2012's 21 Jump Street Based on the 1987-1991 TV series |
I felt that this film definitely lived up to and possibly exceeded the hilarity of the first film. The movie constantly pokes fun at it being a sequel and references other films of the two leads. The subplot involving Ice Cube and Jonah Hill made me laugh so hard I couldn't breathe. I loved this film and hope it spawns a new franchise that continues for years to come.

A film sequel that does the impossible, outshines the original in every way. Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill haven't missed a beat, easily sliding back into their roles once again. Ice Cube gets more screen time and is even more funny than he was in the last one.
There was a great subplot involving Jonah Hill and Ice Cube that literally had me in tears from laughing so hard. The film also once again made numerous, great references to the other actors' work and the fact that the film is a sequel. Also, stay tuned for the credits as it features a hilarious joke about it becoming a franchise. |
